A Drink To You

After almost a month and a half (but which seems & feels like many years to me), I finally went to have a few drinks along with lunch. It was around January 16 or 17 that I last went to my bar in Edapally. Today, after being at work for 9 days straight, I decided to head out to the bar around 1 pm. I went to pay my phone bill first (it is 500 meters away from the bar) and then went to the ATM counter to take the first 1000 off my salary. Then into the air-conditioned comfort I went and ordered my first drink. I had funny feelings like "What if you have forgotten how to drink"? Yeah Right - like that was ever gonna happen!! I ordered some food to go along with the four vodkas+seven up that I had. I had fried rice and some chicken that I wasn't really interested in; but the rice was great. I kinda think that fried rice goes well with vodka, don't you agree? I dunno, try it.

ALCOHOL LYRICS
==============
Alcohol, my permanent accessory
Alcohol, a party-time necessity
Alcohol, alternative to feeling like yourself
O Alcohol, I still drink to your health

I love you more than I did the week before
I discovered alcohol

Forget the cafe latte, screw the raspberry iced tea
A Malibu and Coke for you, a G&T for me
Alcohol, Your songs resolve like
my life never will
When someone else is picking up the bill

I love you more than I did the week before
I discovered alcohol
O Alcohol, would you please forgive me?
For while I cannot love myself
I'll use something else

I thought that Alcohol was just for those with
nothing else to do
I thought that drinking just to get drunk
was a waste of precious booze
But now I know that there's a time
and there's a place where I can choose
To walk the fine line between
self-control and self-abuse

I love you more than I did the week before
I discovered alcohol
Would you please ignore that you
found me on the floor
Trying on your camisole?
O Alcohol, would you please forgive me?
For while I cannot love myself
I'll use something else.

Would you please forgive me (x2)
